One Reem Island is planned as a low-rise beachfront building of eight floors, with 62 apartments above five retail units and a basement level for parking and storage. Keeping the height low was the point: the pool deck and the apartments sit close to the water rather than above a podium, and the building reads as a private residence rather than a tower.
